A male red-winged blackbird takes a moment of rest atop of a cattail before continuing its display of showing its colors and calling to attract a female in this wetland landscape setting at Wildflower Park

I moved about with the tripod a bit isolating on this one flower to get a perfect shot that had a few drops of dew on the petals

I was looking for some good wildflower composition to photograph and came upon this swamp milkweed plant with cup plants not in bloom behind close to the trail

WATCHING THE MERGANSER ABSTRACT As the light dances inA trio of red breasted mergansers spend a few hours swimming around Wildflower Lake diving occasionally looking for a meal of fish before they move northward on their spring migration. This was the first time seeing and photographing these beautiful and colorful water birds. It was a pleasure to have seen and photographed them. (480 127)
