Heading back through the oak savanna

A majestic and beautiful sunrise appears at Wildflower Lake with mist emanating from the surface of the lake do to the heat of the sun touching a cool surface and the reflections from the paper birch tree and a kentucky coffee tree adding more elements to an already beautiful scene at Wildflower Park

I came upon these three (one off camera) green herons up in this dead peachleaf willow tree along Eakin Creek West at Wildflower Park

This July morning started out like most other recent mornings with cool temperatures that brought mist to the low lying landscape here in Northern Illinois
