RA 8284 AVONSIDE ENGINE CO WORKSPLATE NO 1603 1903 ship-zone-c The first shed it wasA brass Avonside Engine Co , Bristol works plate from an 0 6 0 saddle tank locomotive , works no 1603 and built in 1912 and worked at the Hafod Colliery, Denbighshire and named "CHAMPION". This plate came to us with a small piece missing near the top right hand side, we put this in our workshop where it has been professionally repaired. The plate is in otherwise ex locomotive condition, the photo shows it at the colliery in July 1948.
