I shot the reference image for this piece while on a trip to Algonquin Park during the summer of 2020. It was about 7: 30am on Grand Lake when we were woken by our campsite's resident three year old and rather than go back to sleep, I pushed a canoe out into the morning mist and followed after it in another, snapping photos of the ethereal moment where
