2017 Benedetti & Grigi "La Gaita Del Falco" Grechetto DOC Collectors Classification: Dolcetto d’AlbaGrechetto is one of the most important and abundant white varietals in Umbria. Winemaker Matteo Basili crafted this well structured, unique white from 100% Grechetto fruit, hand harvested from the family vineyards. Following cold maceration for 16 hours at 8 degrees C, the wine was then fermented and aged 4 months in stainless steel and 3 months in the bottle prior to release. This soft white wine shows straw yellow in color with greenish highlights.
