just the bottom marking - which is a bit too worn to really make out

I would own piles of these if I could

There is some light staining on the interior panels of the rucksack

This is very possibly war time or earlier, but may also early early post war (it is hard to date traditional wood items). It is fairly worn and has been repaired. The arms look like they have been glued back on or repaired a few times.
