Harika Rug Late 19th century or earlyA mid 20th century Afghan carpet of all wool construction. Three linked medallions in pleasing shades of pink, soft brown and blue grey. Slight colour variation across the ground. Delightful motifs of goats, chickens and peacocks in the ground and borders. Medium pile, good condition except for moth damage over one quarter (shown in pictures and patched on verso but not conspicuous overall) and losses to fringes at one end. A very good room carpet
