The total lock measures about 3 1/4" by 2 1/8" and inside is 1 1/4" across by 1 1/8"

It looks like it was painted yellow at one time but has been mostly stripped or worn off

It does appear to be missing a small chain that would have kept the lid attached to the can

It is for a type of sweet or medicinal pill made of a thick liquid that has been solidified and is meant to be consumed by lightly chewing and allowing it to dissolve in the mouth. It is in OK condition and does show wear. It measures about 3 1 8" by 2 1 8" at the widest parts.
