Andrea Occhipinti, Rosso Arcaico, Vino Rosso, 2022 Art Series 70% TempranilloAn hour or so north of Roma close to the border with Tuscany lies the estate of Andrea Occhipinti. Here he established his organic winery of 4Ha in the mid 1990s and decided to focus upon indigenous varietals from the Lazio region. The Rosso Arcaico is an equal blend of the Aleatico and Grechetto grape varieties. Fermentation is with natural yeasts and the wine is raised in clay amphorae for six months. Minimal sulphur is used and only at bottling.
