My guess is that for some reason the threads on the edge of the 60's cover were preventing it from going all the way down when installed in the 60 spool, therefore when the drag is tightened in the 60, the clicker disc is pushed away from the partially unseated cover which has the clicking cuts, and the spool then becomes silent
