I tried PTFE tape but that worked loose after a while #15 I have heard that it actually depends on which pole you have as to whether the protectapole bushes are loose or not, & by that I mean that some manufactorers don't necessarily cut each section in exactly the same place, therefore each one could be slightly different diameter, from what I was told daiwa & tricast are about the best, with MAP being the worse, so if your ordering from protectapole might well be worth measuring your section & sending your measurements in so they get taylor made for your individual pole
